NOx

NOx is responsible for ground ozone and is health hazards. NOx is composed of NO and NO2. Three ‘T’s are responsible for NOx generation: Temperature (peak), Time (duration of peak temperature) and Timing (of fuel injection). Direct water injection or emulsified fuel reduces NOx. However, IMO Tier III NOx regulation demands the use of SCR or EGR. Along with investment, these demand a holistic study of efficacy and installation footprint.
